Cross-Country Skiing

Groomed trails and snowy landscapes abound throughout Jackson Hole. The area around Snow King Resort and Grand View Lodge is custom-made for traveling by ski. Our Adventure Center Concierge is happy to provide suggestions on routes and rentals.

Snowshoeing

Up for an adventure? Grab a pair of snowshoes and hit some of Jackson’s many wonderful winter trails, such as Cache Creek or Taggart Lake. Stop by the Adventure Center to rent snowshoes for all sizes.

Snowmobiling

Find adventure off the trail. From 2-hour trips to full day adventures, there are plenty of options in Jackson Hole for snowmobiling. Talk to the Adventure Center for options ranging from beginner to advanced. For ages as young as 4.

JH Moose Hockey Games

Cheer on the Moose hockey team, a Senior A division team of the USA Hockey Association, as they take on challengers from all over the country. Games are played at the Snow King Arena, just one block from Snow King Resort.

Indoor & Outdoor Ice Skating

Skate beneath the lights and arches of Jackson’s Town Square on their seasonal outdoor skating rink. Bring your own skates or rent a pair from the Stage Stop, and skate under the neon glow from Jackson's famous Million Dollar Cowboy Bar!

Natural Hot Springs

Take a dip in Astoria Hot Springs. Open throughout the winter season, it's the perfect place to ease sore muscles from a day-full of great ski runs down the slopes.

Snow Tubing

King Tubes on Snow King Mountain is a must. Take the rope tow up the hill then plunge down the smooth, groomed run. Anyone over 42" can glide down the mountain on a tube at King Tubes. All tickets include tube rentals. Open when conditions permit.

Cowboy Coaster at Snow King Mountain

One of Jackson’s best thrills, is to ride the Cowboy Coaster down Snow King Mountain. Go full speed ahead, or use the hand brakes for a more relaxed trip down. Either choice will leave you smiling from ear to ear.

What ski resorts are near Snow King Resort?

Snow King Resort is conveniently located near 3 unique ski resorts!  

Nestled at the base of Snow King Mountain, Snow King Resort offers ski-in-ski-out accommodations on what is historically and fondly referred to as “the town hill” which was Wyoming’s first ski area. 

Less than 13 miles from Snow King Resort is the world-renowned Jackson Hole Mountain Resort which has been named the #1 ski resort in the United States on multiple occasions due to its range of terrain from beginner to expert and fantastic on mountain amenities.

Just 46 miles from Snow King Resort is the unique Grand Targhee Resort in Alta, Wyoming. This resort is on “the sunny side” of the Teton Mountains and is known for its incredible amount of powder annually. Snow King Resort does not provide transportation to Grand Targhee Resort.

We recommend purchasing ski lift tickets directly from the ski resort you’d like to visit.
